Humans produce millions of tons of trash each day, and getting rid of it has become a serious issue. Volcanoes are known for their destructive super powers, and they seem to be able to burn just about anything. What if it was possible to use volcanoes as the solution to our trash problem? Could they really be natural disposal stations?

A truck, loaded with wastes, dumped into a lava dome would result in a massive explosion with a lava discharge, followed by an outbreak of toxic gas spreading in the air. Lots of huge electric discharges would go through the ash clouds and lightning would strike everywhere around the volcano. So it looks like volcanoes aren't the best place to dump your trash, after all.

SUMMARY:
-The first type of volcanoes are called Cinder Cones – they’re reactive, constantly spewing hot gases and lava up in the air. The calm volcanoes are not active enough and it’s too hard to reach their lava for it to be useful. The more stable type that would allow people to get close enough to dump trash is called a Shield Volcano.
-The process of waste disposal needs to be stable, as humanity produces millions of tons of garbage each day. In a year, these numbers reach a stunning 2.12 billion tons worldwide.
-The stink is only the beginning of the problem when it comes to burning plastic or rubber. Gas emissions are toxic and damaging to the environment, plus microscopic particles of plastic get mixed with drops of water in the atmosphere and then go back to earth.
-The only type of volcano that might suit this purpose is called a Shield Volcano. The most well-known examples of them are Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea in Hawaii. Lava pools formed by Shield Volcanoes may look soft, but they suppress a huge threat underneath, that’s better left untouched. And where lava is, there’s also highly pressurized acidic steams that are immensely toxic for anyone around.
-A truck, loaded with wastes, dumped into a lava dome would result in a massive explosion with a lava discharge, followed by an outbreak of toxic gas spreading in the air. Lots of huge electric discharges would go through the ash clouds and lightning would strike everywhere around the volcano.

Hey BrightSide! I was wondering what if we just collect all the garbage put it in a HUGE Bag then throw it to the sun? Or other planets

Being the incarnation of Mother Nature, yes. Yes, I do. But a lot of things shouldn’t be recycled. The little numbers inside of the RRR symbol designate the type of recycling plant it goes to. Probably should do a video on that if you haven’t.

welll.....yess.....my habit is doing things by recycling any things that can be useful to recycle😊😊

Send garbage into deep space, I'm sure it won't come back because if you push a thing in space it goes forever if it has no means of thrusting back. Space is a vacuum... 🤔

Why don't we create our own artficial volcano? Sounds like a good idea right?😁😁😁😁😎😎😎😥

Instead of throwing trash everything should be recycled the only problem we need to find a way to break apart trash to single elements sadly this would cost so much energy to do

They talk about waste. Yet they make throwaway products. What happened about reusables. The hypocrisy. The government doesn’t care. It’s all about money money money.

What if we fill up a rocket with as much trash as we can, put it on auto pilot, and blast it into the sun? The sun will get fuel to keep burning, and our waste will be disposed. Make a video about "Should we send our rubbish to the sun?" Because I'm confused.

You have to understand all of us have been lied to our whole life.... When i was going to school for engineering 20 years ago I met engineering team that designed and patented a trash plant that you could burn trash and harness the gases it created to reuse and they designed the plant 20 years before I seen it so over 40 years ago we have had this.... but they were stopped and would not be funded.....
