Is this movie supposed to have a connection with Mortal Kombat?

As a fan of the books, i'm disappointing with what it looks like it'll become.

Probably not gonna see many, if any, black people in this movie.

I'm expecting this to be a good film. But wow the dialogue is cheesy and cliche. I will agree that the movie looks very generic and cliche based on the trailer, but hopefully its good.

I really want to like this movie since the basic concept seems pretty cool. However, these trailers are really really unimpressive. Sad.

This is what you get when you combine Guns of Icarus, Howl’s Moving Castle, and Mad Max into one and weave in a bit of Code Geass

This looks really poor. It has no redeeming qualities about the action scenes. The cgi looks boring and already out of date. The same old explosions & dodgy electrical storms etc. The cast just look like the usual ‘diverse’ crowd that Hollywood likes to crowbar into just about every franchise now. (Daft American, TV standard Brit actors, obligatory oriental and possibly an embarrassing cameo from a half decent movie star). The trailer has completely turned me away from this now, even with the suspect mention of Peter Jackson,s name in the credits.

What blows my mind is that every comment on youtube is about "STOP MAKING SEQUELS!" and then an original IP like this gets made and everyone screams flop. This is why you can't have nice things. Now go put your toys away.

Ohhh boy. The previous trailer was good. This one will cost the film seats. Not empty cinemas, sure,, but some people will just not be swayed by this.
